A "Jace Account Disconnected" email means Google or Microsoft stopped letting Jace into one of your mailboxes. Until you reconnect, Jace doesn't sync that inbox and doesn't write drafts or replies for it. To fix it, sign in to Jace with that email account again. Your labels and settings are kept. Jace picks up where it left off.
How to reconnect
- Go to app.jace.ai and sign in with the email address from the disconnect email.
- A red banner at the top of the inbox says Jace has stopped working for and names the address. Click Reconnect.
- Google or Microsoft asks you to sign in and approve access. Approve every permission on the consent screen.
If you have several inboxes connected, the banner lists each disconnected one with its own Reconnect button. You need to reconnect each of them.
Jace sends the disconnect email when the connection breaks. If you're on a paid plan and haven't reconnected, it sends it again 3 and 7 days later. Reconnecting stops the reminders.
Why connections break
The connection is a sign-in token that Google or Microsoft issues to Jace. It stops working when:
- you changed the password of that email account
- you or your IT admin removed Jace from the account's connected apps (for Google, under third-party connections)
- your company started blocking outside apps
- Google or Microsoft ended the session for safety reasons
Jace can't renew a revoked token by itself, so a person has to sign in again. A revoked token also signs you out of the Jace app. That is why you land on the sign-in page.
When reconnecting doesn't work
Google says some permissions are missing. Google's consent screen has a checkbox for each permission. Leave one unticked and Jace shows Google permissions are missing with the names of the missing ones. Connect again and tick every box. Google explains the screen in Share some access to your Google Account.
Microsoft asks for admin approval. Your company requires an IT admin to approve Jace once for everyone. Microsoft explains the steps for admins in Grant tenant-wide admin consent.
Your email address changed. Say your company renamed your mailbox or moved you to a new domain. Signing in with the new address creates a new, empty Jace account. Don't set it up. Send both addresses to support@jace.ai. The team moves your account and plan to the new one.
The same inbox keeps disconnecting. This is usually a security rule set by your company's IT admin. Ask your admin whether third-party app access is restricted (Google Workspace controls), then reconnect. If it still drops, email support@jace.ai with the address and roughly when it happened.
Drafts written after you reconnect
Jace auto-drafts replies only to emails from the last 3 days. Emails that arrived during the disconnect and are newer than that can get drafts once you reconnect. Those drafts use credits like any other.
